I am not able to upload a machining video this week. We had a bad storm come though my area that knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of households as well as knocking out internet service. We are all safe and although we have had power, we have been without internet for the past 5 days so I don’t have a practical way of getting a full length video uploaded.
My wife and I, being part of the work from home economy, not having internet has made it impossible for us to “go to work.” I’m able to make arrangements but my wife is out of luck until our service is restored.
Topping all that is this massive tree in our front yard has been damaged beyond being able to be save. Thankfully, it did not hit the house. Unfortunately, since it didn’t hit the house, removal is not covered under insurance. So I have to let go of some projects I wanted to tackle.
I had recently acquired a 1960s South Bend 13” lathe with a 7 foot bed. I was going to record a quick restoration video and then rehome it. Unfortunately, I have to unload it sooner rather than later. If you’re interested, hit me up at greg@mylilmule.us. I’d even be willing to deliver it within 100 miles of Lake County, Ohio.
Hopefully, my internet will be restored soon and we can get back to real content.
