I had to replace a bushing on one of my Bilstein shocks. The bolt rusted to the sleeve and I had to cut it off. Bilstein doesn’t have replacement parts. Boo. I was able to find a @warrior_products part that would work, but the hole for the sleeve is 1/2” and I needed it to be 12mm. So I made a new sleeve out of some bar stock. First real project on a lathe. 😊

Wheelie Wednesday!
One of the mistakes I made when installing the Max-Bilt Trail Tails
One of the mistakes I made when installing the Max-Bilt Trail Tails in this corner armor, is I didn’t properly heat sink the resistors that are inline with the turn signals. Without the resistor, the computer thinks the bulb is burnt out. But that resistor gets HOT, so I’ll be correcting that soon.

Put these Artec lower control arm skids on a friends Jeep.
Put these Artec lower control arm skids on a friends Jeep. It’s amazing how good my welds look in bad lighting and black paint. 😂

My axles haven’t looked this good since this picture was taken about 3 years ago.
My axles haven’t looked this good since this picture was taken about 3 years ago. But I am taking some time to clean them up and give them a fresh coat of paint before heading out to Moab for EJS 2019!

I took a couple of the old control arms joints and made my own thread chasers.
I took a couple of the old control arms joints and made my own thread chasers. I wanted to clean out the threads in the ends of the control arms and track bars. Ground a few grooves in them, got them good and hot then quenched them real fast to harden the threads.

I put this little strip light in the underside of my Tuffy Security Cover.
I put this little strip light in the underside of my Tuffy Security Cover. It may not be much, but it puts out enough light to see what’s in there.

Muddy Monday!
I’ve had the compressor now for a few years.
I’ve had the compressor now for a few years. I like it, but I do wish it was bigger. Once the new shop is build and wired, I think I might have to look for a decent 220v compressor to replace it.

THESE ARE NOT MY WELDS!
THESE ARE NOT MY WELDS!Just wanted to put that out there. 😉 When I got my Rubicon axles, they had different brackets welded on for coil overs. This was an example of one of the better welds. I have no idea how this stuff didn’t break off.
